What it is
Travian Kingdoms is the kingdom-focused successor to Travian: you pick Gauls, Teutons or Romans, grow a village into cities and decide whether to rule as a king who collects tributes and protects treasures or as a governor who settles inside a kingdom. Buildings and troops take real time, so days are spent raiding robbers, trading resources and coordinating attacks and defence with your kingdom; the Natar tribe and the seven Wonders of the World arrive late in a round to decide the winner. Rounds last six months, after which worlds restart. Browser play is backed by iOS and Android apps, and the game is free with premium features.
