What it is
Pirates Glory mixes real-time sailing with turn-based actions in a gunpowder-era world of 21 ports. You start with one ship, trade eight commodities on dynamic markets, build up to 18 historical ship types, and attack NPC fleets or other players for gold and cargo. Nationality matters: players earn titles up to king, pass laws, set taxes and vie for control of ports, with guilds, treasure hunts and voodoo curses on the side. The game has run since 2008 and its maker describes it as everlasting, so there is always time to catch up.
