What it is
Miniconomy is a Dutch-made trading game that has run since 2002 in rounds of about three weeks. Each round you start with a little money and a few goods and try to become the Federation's richest trader by producing, running shops, speculating on the stock market or turning to crime, while other players act as police, lawyers, mayors, bankers and presidents. Everything happens in real time between players, an in-game newspaper covers the news, and the interface comes in eight languages.
