What it is
Kampfinsel is a browser strategy game built as a homage to early-2000s island games such as Inselkampf, though with its own world and code. You start on one island with gold, stone and wood, expand mines, research and harbour, then send fleets across a coordinate map to raid, colonise and fight in five-phase battles. It is designed around two short check-ins a day, with alliances of up to 50 players declaring wars tracked on a public war board. The game is free, and paying supporters get comfort features and recognition rather than power.
