What it is
Ikariam is Gameforge's long-running browser strategy game set among the islands of an ancient Mediterranean. You build up a town, research technologies, trade resources with neighbouring islands and raise armies and fleets to raid or defend, with alliances fighting it out on each server. It runs in the browser or on phone and tablet, is offered in a long list of languages, and the official forums and Discord are busy every day. It is free to play, with a premium currency, Ambrosia, sold for real money.
