What it is
Akanbar is a text-based fantasy MUD in which newly adult characters choose their own path in a world of three cities (Elysium, Ysallyra and Golgonath) and a roster of guilds from Assassins to Templars, with no fixed goals beyond the ones players set. It connects through an HTML5 client on the site or any telnet MUD client on port 23. Knowledge and power crystals can be bought, and standard and premium subscriptions add benefits such as faster crystal gain, a vault and housing. The site's news stops in 2015 and its forum host is suspended, so the world appears quiet.
