What it is
Achaea is a text-based MMORPG (a MUD) that has run since 1997 and is played through a browser client or the Nexus app on iOS and Android. Six player-governed city-states with their own ministries, twenty-plus classes each carrying around a hundred abilities, religions, trade and war give it a scope closer to a virtual world than a dungeon crawl. It is free to play with optional credits and Elite memberships that speed progression. Game news and development updates appear several times a week.
