What it is
Ringbound is a free space 4X in open alpha. You start sealed in a private birth cluster with one world and a dormant beacon, build a hub with specialised annexes on moons and rocks, and fight a local pirate hulk whose wreck can become your station. Lighting the beacon opens trade, diplomacy and guilds with other commanders in a four-ring galaxy whose barriers fall on the server's schedule, and freighters physically carry goods that can be intercepted. Builds, research and fleets keep moving while you are away, there is no cash shop, and progress is not wiped during the alpha.
