What it is
Nullshell is a fictional hacking simulation played through a browser terminal and currently labelled a beta. You run an operator with a rig to upgrade, a botnet to grow, skills to level and a heat meter to keep down, scanning and cracking made-up machines and taking dark-web contracts and freelance typing and puzzle jobs for in-game cash and a pretend crypto wallet, while an alignment gauge tracks whether you lean black, grey or white hat. Other operators appear online beside you and can be challenged to wagered hacker duels and live card showdowns, and task-force raids can knock your rig offline for a cooldown. The terms stress that every target is invented and nothing has real-world value.
