What it is
Hellruler is a free browser loot RPG played in portrait, with fights resolved on the server so a battle finishes even if you close the tab. You push ever deeper through thirty zones with a boss every hundred depths, crack caches for gear drawn from the live loot tables, and reforge or salvage items to build around bleed, ignite, poison or shock. The multiplayer side is an eight-tier arena ladder of duels against named rivals, weekly guild Raid Lords with a shared purse, ten-minute world-boss Risings that every player online can strike, and a shared chat. It is in alpha and the developer warns that progress may be reset; a Plus subscription and cosmetics are the only paid extras.
