What it is
Barons of the Galaxy casts each player as a corporation in a near-future galaxy, mining sixteen raw resources and turning them into more than 150 products that NPC cities demand, with prices moving on what players actually sell. Orders are queued and resolved simultaneously every ten minutes, so a few check-ins a day keep factories, transports and military units running; players also vote on random events and elect each other governor, emperor or star lord. Play is free with a headquarters tied to Earth, and a $5 monthly subscription unlocks relocation, elections and public votes.
